Welcome!

NOTICE FOR CLIENTS/PATIENTS
Due to rapidly rising numbers of infections with the highly infectious Omicron variant in NC (affecting even the vaccinated, mostly with mild, cold like symptoms), in the interest of reducing spread of this highly contagious variant in our community, services in January 2022 will only be provided ONLINE.
Online services are provided by means of secure videoconferencing. If you are an established client, please sign up to my online waiting area at the time of your appointment. Please refer for details and to complete the Tele-mental-health Informed Consent Form to the Forms and Information Tab. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic insurances cover online services without additional approval. I will keep you updated, when we are able to meet in person again. Stay safe and take care!

Facing challenges in relationships? Trauma or loss wearing you down? Are you constantly tired and having trouble sleeping? Has life become difficult due to stress, anxiety, depression, or ADHD? If you are looking for relief and lasting change, I would love to talk with you to see how I can help.
A high percentage of people encounter concerns like these at some point in their lives. Many decide to seek competent assistance rather than just trying to "tough it out." They are laying a solid foundation for future resilience.
What makes this practice different?
As a psychiatrist with extensive experience in psychotherapy, I seek to understand whether my clients' concerns are best addressed through psychotherapy, training in specific skills, stress management strategies, or medications. With my background in family medicine, I always consider the possibility that other medical conditions play a role in the concern. If needed, I work together with other medical professionals to optimize treatment.
Stress and suffering affect our mind, body, and spirit at the same time. Integrating the biological, psychological, social, and spiritual dimensions is the most appropriate and effective way towards healing. Clients working with me are invited to explore any of these dimensions. A client's preference regarding whether or not spiritual issues are addressed, will be fully respected. I frequently work with people involved in Christian ministry, whose faith is integral to their lives.
I enjoy working with cross-cultural issues and have extensive experience personally and professionally in this area. I speak the German and Nepali languages fluently.
